Banofee Pie
Banofee Pie can be prepared in 30 minutes and serves 2-4 people.
Recipe Ingredients
Ingredients for base4 ounces Butter
2 cups Biscuits crushed
Ingredients for filling
6 ounces Butter.
6 ounces Caster sugar
1 Tin Condensed milk
2 slice Bananas
2 cups Whipped cream
1/2cup Grated chocolate for decoration
Recipe Method
Method for baseMelt 4 ounce butter in a sauce pan; add the 2 cups crushed biscuits mix well, press on to the bottom and side of a loose bottom pie plate, chill until set.
Method for filling
Combine 6 ounce butter and 6 ounce caster sugar in non stick pan, heat stirring until the butter has melted and sugar dissolved, add 1 tin condensed milk and heat gently until mixture reaches simmering point, simmer for 5 minutes, pour the mixture into the biscuit shell, leave to cool, chill until caramel filling is set, arrange the 2 banana slices evenly on a caramel filling topped with whipped cream, decorate with 1/2 cup grated chocolate, serve chilled.
